Help families in Haiti fight hunger amidst escalating violence

Give £36 today.

Every pound you donate will go towards supporting Concern’s work in Haiti and wherever the need is greatest

In Haiti, climate disasters, conflict and instability have kept families in a cycle of poverty for generations. Help us reach more people with the assistance they need to stay healthy and find secure livelihoods.

Right now, one in two people in Haiti are acutely hungry, and over half the population live in poverty. The recent uprise of the violence and impact of regular natural disasters, including tropical storms, flooding and earthquakes, hits the poorest people the hardest.

While we continue to help people rebuild lives and homes after crises, we also work to future-proof communities from subsequent shocks. You can help people living in challenging conditions to support their families and take steps out of hunger and extreme poverty.

Will you support our work to help people in Haiti stay healthy and build a safer future?

£36 could provide three emergency water tanks with soap for a community, to prevent the spread of diseases after a natural disaster.

Brunia is 21 years old, with a young baby and an infant daughter. She lives with her mother and extended family in a concrete home with a tin roof in the heart of Cite Soleil. After losing her brother during a shooting, she didn’t had anything to eat – and joined the Manje Pi Byen (Eat Better) programme, aiming at helping people like Brunia move out of extreme poverty.

It’s thanks to the Concern programme we have something to eat, and we make sure to manage that food in way to avoid any waste

Overseas programmes

Almost 82 pence in every pound donated goes towards our emergency response and long-term development programmes, working together with people living in the most difficult situations to bring about lasting change to lives, livelihoods and communities.

Asma Begum (37) and her husband Abdul with their three daughters Lamia (18), Sadia (16) and Maria (5) and their grandmother Kulsum Begum (72) started CRAAIN in 2020. Asma Begum started as a lead farmer, received training and seeds. Before, she did agri activities but wasn’t very successful. She had received one ring composter from the local gov but no training on how to use it. As a lead farmer, she has supported 400 households in this area. She used to rely on her husband but is now totally reliable.
