Executive Director salary

We are committed to high levels of transparency and accountability throughout the organisation.

Our Concern Worldwide (UK) Executive Director, Sayyeda Salam, receives an annual salary of £100,000 for her role managing a team of more than 90 staff. The salary is decided by the Board of Trustees and is based on the skills and responsibility required for the post. Sayyeda receives a 7.5 per cent contribution to a defined contribution pension scheme and receives no additional benefits.

We believe this to be a fair remuneration for what is a demanding and complex job: in 2023, Concern (UK) raised £24.9 million, which went towards Concern Worldwide’s work helping 30.3 million people in 26 of the world’s poorest countries.
