London Summer Walk

London Summer Walk

Join us this August for a wonderful end of summer celebration whilst walking to support people living in the most vulnerable communities on the planet. With Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K options, there is a Summer Walk for everyone!

All options start alongside the Woolwich Royal Artillery Barracks and explore some of the Capital’s less known historic areas, with a tour of the ‘gateway to London’ along the Thames’s eastern section. So whether it’s to enjoy an active day out with friends or colleagues, or to simply enjoy the journey, we look forward to seeing you there.

Please note, this event is walking only.

How to get started

1. Choose a distance that suits you - from 10K to 42K. You'll need to reach a minimum fundraisng target based on the distance you choose.

2. Sign up on the Ultra Challenge website.

3. Get fundraising! You'll need to reach at least 50% of your fundraising target three weeks before the challenge.

As part of Team Concern, you'll receive:

  • A Concern Worldwide T-shirt
  • A fundraising pack and support from a dedicated fundraiser to help you smash your target
  • Regular team emails
  • Indoor rest stops, with free food & drinks, massages and medics on the day
  • An epic finish line moment, with a beverage, medal and t-shirt

How your fundraising helps

£36 could pay for 120 sachets of emergency therapeutic food for malnourished children

£120 could pay for 400 sachets of therapeutic food for malnourished children

£300 could help run a vital nutrition centre for two weeks, so we can diagnose and treat children to prevent them from suffering from severe malnutrition
