EvaluationEvaluation of Concern's infant feeding ("babytent") response in Haiti 2011
Haiti is one of the first emergencies where the "babytent" approach was implemented on a large scale. This evaluation was undertaken 12 months after the first implementation.
The project has been piloted in one of the most complicated and difficult-to-manage emergencies. If Concern can do so well implementing in such extremely difficult humanitarian circumstances, the evaluator is convinced that they can do it in any other emergency, and even better.
The evaluation assessed the relevance, acceptability, effectiveness and sustainability of Concern’s infant and young child feeding response, and made recommendations for:
- Improved practice in future emergencies
- Updates/ revision/ development of existing policy guidance and tools
- The direction of the current programming
