Potential for Nutrition-Sensitive Conservation Agriculture in Zambia
Conservation agriculture is an agricultural system that has been supported by Concern in Zambia for over two decades. The system aims to impact on food security and agronomic issues, female agricultural power, dietary diversity and nutritional promotion.
The study comprises a literature review, key informant interviews, and qualitative focus group discussions (FGDs) with farmers in Central and Western Provinces of Zambia carried out in March 2015. The findings detailed within evaluate the effectiveness of the conservation agriculture programme in this context, including entry points for improvement to it.
