Nepal: rebuilding lives, restoring communities
Concern had worked in Nepal from 2010 to 2015, and when disaster struck it was of crucial importance that we had contacts and partner organisations on the ground.
Within 48 hours of the earthquake, Concern staff had been deployed to help mount a large-scale emergency response. Much remains to be done in terms of Nepal's overall recovery, but it is clear that the country is in a far better position than three years ago, and this is bolstered by a strong national NGO and civil society presence in the country.
